1st Haircut

Owen got his first haircut today... and Erin got one too... but it wasn't her first. :)
He just sat on Erin's lap and looked around. Such a cute little man.

O had his school picture (re)taken (long story) a few weeks ago. We didn't know the day he had them taken that he was going to have them taken.... never-the-less, they turned out well (of course!). Here is just one of the poses.

Owen's songs.

Sometime before Owen was born I started to collect songs and make them into a playlist. It wasn't really meant for a "cd for my sweetheart" type that is familiar to the teen dating genre, but more for the fact that I had read that babies love to hear a soft voice. In that spirit, I made about a ten song list that I thought would be easy to sing or just play for him.
Now, given that Owen has been going through the colic phase, he has really made us both make good use of the songs I had collected. We sing them often, and despite my (our) poor ability to belt a tune, Owen tends to stop crying (yeah, for about 15 min) when we do offer them to him. Recently Erin has really started to like the very first song I had selected for the playlist. So, that is the story behind why this song is now on our blog; Erin loves it, so we thought it was time to share. Enjoy.
