Is it really the 12th of January? I am sounding like a broken record lately, but where is time going? We’ve had a rocky start to the 2010 school year, since we’ve only been in school a total of 4 days. Looks like if this keeps up we will be in school in June. I LOVE it now…but I will be hating it then! Anyway, Owen and I spent lots of time playing together last week, and I got caught up on some appointments for myself. It turns out that I have no cavities (I’m obsessed with brushing my teeth and I can do many things around the house while doing so), and that my nose is healing beautifully. I’m never fond of that tool that spreads my nose open like a canyon (OUCH!), but at least no packing left to remove (that hurts even worse!). It’s weird to say “good-bye” to my wonderful doctor, since we’ve spend so much time together. So thankful for her…as she did a wonderful job and truly cared about the outcome and end result. Wow, I’m such a dork…Here’s the before, during and after. No worries, I won’t post the gross ones!
It’s kind of hard to tell in the bottom photo…I need to take a close up one. Adding that to my long “to-do”list!
On to the snow…Even though it was freezing, we decided to dress Owen and venture outside for a short time. Let’s just say he was NOT happy about it at first, and it was so funny watching him walk in his Go Diego Go snow boots. Once he realized that we could walk up and down the street (his favorite thing this past summer), he was sold. So, up and down we walked…until my fingers were numb and we were afraid his were too. Headed inside to warm up with hot drinks and “nilk” for Mr. Owen (aka soymilk). Such a fun moment…that requires I photo…don’t you agree!
Not many photos from the snow…as the boy wanted his Mom to hold him instead…of course, I couldn’t resist!
OK, enough rambling for now! Hope all is well in your neck of the woods!
love and peace.
